Terms of Service

These terms apply to every order you place on petdentist.co.uk. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order you agree to them. They are written for consumers in the United Kingdom, and nothing in them affects your legal rights.

1. Who we are

petdentist.co.uk is operated by Pet Dentist L.L.C-FZ, trading as Petdentist®, a company licensed by the Meydan Free Zone Authority, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (licence no. 2530609.01). Registered office: Meydan Grandstand, 6th Floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, UAE. Our UK correspondence and returns address is c/o The Parcel Store, Unit 1056 Moulton Park, Deer Park Road, Northampton NN3 6RX, United Kingdom, and all UK orders are dispatched from there. Email: info@petdentist.co.uk. Our full company details are in our Legal Notice.

2. Placing an order

You must be at least 18 years old to buy from us. When you place an order we will send you an order confirmation email; this acknowledges your order but does not accept it. We accept your order, and a contract is formed, when we send you the dispatch email. We may decline an order, for example if a product is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, if there is a pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraud. If we decline an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full within 14 days.

3. Our products

We sell pet oral-care and pet food products: pet toothpaste, toothbrushes, chew toys and probiotic powders. None of our products is a veterinary medicine. Petsmile toothpaste is a non-medicinal oral hygiene product, and Petdentist® probiotic powders are complementary feeds for dogs and cats. They are designed to help maintain clean teeth, fresh breath and normal digestion as part of your pet's daily routine. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and nothing on our website is veterinary advice. If you are worried about your pet's mouth, breath, teeth or digestion, please see your vet. Always follow the instructions on the product and stop using it if your pet shows any reaction.

Product images are for illustration; packaging and flavour labels may vary. Every product page shows the ingredients or composition, the feeding or usage instructions and any warnings. Best-before dates are printed on the pack. Products are for the animal species stated on the label only.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are set out on our Delivery page and shown in your basket and at checkout before you pay: £3.99 for orders under £35 and free for orders of £35 or more. Payment is taken when you place your order, using the payment methods shown at checkout. Where we show a "was" or compare-at price, it is a price at which the product, or the same items bought separately, was genuinely sold on this site. Multi-buy savings (for example, 3 tubs for less than 3 × the single price) are calculated against the single-item price at the time of the offer.

We take care to price our products correctly, but if we discover an obvious error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch so you can confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

5. Discount codes and offers

Discount codes are valid for the period and products stated when we issue them and cannot be exchanged for cash. Unless we say otherwise, only one discount code can be used per order and codes cannot be combined with other offers. We may withdraw or change an offer at any time, but this does not affect orders already placed. Any welcome offer is for first orders only, one per household.

6. Delivery

We deliver to UK addresses only. Delivery times, charges and what to do if your parcel is late or damaged are set out on our Delivery page, which forms part of these terms. Orders are normally dispatched within 1 to 2 working days and delivered within 2 to 4 working days after that; in any event we will deliver within 30 days of your order unless we agree a different date with you. The goods become your responsibility when they are delivered to the address you gave us (or to a person you nominated), and you own them once we have received payment in full.

7. Changing your mind, returns and refunds

As a consumer buying online you have 14 days from the day after delivery to cancel your order for any reason, and you can return unused, unopened items for up to 60 days under our returns promise. Sealed hygiene and food items (toothpaste, probiotic powders and toothbrushes) cannot be returned under the right to cancel once opened, but Petsmile toothpaste is covered by our 30-day taste guarantee. Full details, including the returns address, refund timescales and the model cancellation form, are in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. If something is wrong with your order

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our products must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not, you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of delivery, or a replacement or refund after that. We pay the return costs for faulty or incorrect items. Please contact us as soon as you notice a problem, with your order number and a photo where possible.

9. Customer reviews

Reviews on our site are collected through the Loox reviews platform, mainly by inviting customers to leave a review after they have received their order. We publish reviews whether they are positive or negative. We do not write reviews ourselves, pay for positive reviews, or edit the content of reviews. We only remove a review if it is abusive, contains personal data or unlawful content, is not about the product, or we have reasonable grounds to believe it was not written by a genuine customer. If we ever offer a thank-you (such as a discount code) for leaving a review, it is offered for any honest review regardless of rating and the review is marked as incentivised. By submitting a review you allow us to display it, with your first name and any photo you include, on our website and marketing.

10. Your account and use of our website

If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us if you think it has been misused. You must give us accurate information and use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not copy, scrape or misuse our content, interfere with the site's operation, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it.

11. Intellectual property

Petdentist® and our logos are trade marks of Pet Dentist L.L.C-FZ. Petsmile® and VOHC® are trade marks of their respective owners. All content on this website, including text, images, videos and product descriptions, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without our written permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial use.

12. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, that were not caused by us, or that are business losses. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not liable for any harm caused by a product being used other than in accordance with the instructions on the label, or on an animal species for which it is not intended.

13. Events outside our control

If delivery is delayed by an event outside our reasonable control (such as severe weather, a courier strike or a supplier failure), we will contact you as soon as possible and take steps to minimise the delay. If the delay is likely to be substantial, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund for any products you have paid for but not received.

14. Your personal data

We use your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Complaints

If you have a complaint, email info@petdentist.co.uk with your order number and we will respond within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days. If you remain unhappy after our final response, you can get free advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service (0808 223 1133). We are not currently a member of an alternative dispute resolution scheme.

16. Which laws apply

These terms and any contract between us are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or of the nation where you live, and you also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection rules of your home nation.

17. Other important terms

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and will tell you if this happens. Each paragraph of these terms operates separately; if any court finds one unlawful, the rest continue in force. If we do not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, that does not mean you do not have to do it later. We may update these terms from time to time; the terms that apply to your order are the ones published when you placed it.

My cat loves the toothpaste more than he likes the toothbrush, however since the chicken flavor isn’t that strong my other cat (who usually eats anything) doesn’t like it, so I suggest putting more flavoring into the toothpaste or mixing it with a treat. Also the customer service is great 😊

We use this toothpaste regularly on our Golden Retriever who is 12 years of age. One of his back teeth was covered in tartar and this toothpaste has removed it. He seems to quite like having his teeth cleaned. Over the years I have used other brands but have found this one gives the best results.

Have used other toothpastes in a pinch, but will always come back to this one for my dog. He loves the taste and it works! Can see why it's approved by the VOHC. Worth every penny and it lasts AGES. This paste doesn't smell of anything really - Definitely no overwhelming fake meat smells to contend with. Must taste good as my dog will eat it from the tube. Non foaming. Not abrasive. Apparently the formula works just from the pets licking it, so you could alternatively smear a pea sized amount on a toy if you really can't get a good scrub on. Note: No toothpaste is going to be able to remove well established thick plaque from teeth. Only a dental scale and polish from a veterinarian will do that. Overall, what I can say is that from firsthand experience, my dog is now three and I've used this once every few days in one form or another (actually brushing his teeth or having him just lick it) since he was a pup and his teeth are spotless.

This product is very goodd, edelivery was very quick and packaged to a high standard. I got this product as a set with the toothpaste. The product is well presented and comes in a navy blue box with instructions on how to use the product. The toothpaste comes in a beef flavour, as far as I am aware, this is the only flavour that it comes in for just now. To a humans nose it does not smell of much but Lola, my blue mitted ragdoll, can definitely smell something. The toothpaste comes out in a paste, although a little liquid residue comes out at the start. I just use a tissue to wipe this off, so that I am using the actual paste when brushing Lolas teeth. The toothpaste is infused with Calprox that cleans your pet teeth and prevents the build up of plaque for healthier teeth and gums. What is great about this product is that you do not necessarily need to brush your pet teeth as it works on contact. So just by liking the paste your pet will do the work for you and mix it around their mouth when swallowing. So if you are worried about damaging your pet gums from brushing then this product is worth giving a try. Since using the product Lola has fresher breath, which makes her kitty kisses to wake me up in the morning more enjoyable. The toothpaste is completely safe to use of your pet and is the only pet toothpaste approved by VOHC (The Veterinary Oral Health Council). It does not contain any harsh abrasives that can be found in other similar products. This gives me piece of mind that I am not doing more damage than good. I have been using petsmile for a couple of months now and can say that Lolas teeth and gums appear cleaner. However, it is not magic. It is not after one application that you will see results. This involves regular use of the product. I use the product once daily on Lola. Lola, being a ragdoll usually lets me do what I like with her, so introducing this product to her was easy enough. For cats (or dogs) that will resist, I would recommend starting simply by letting your pet like the paste from your finger or putting a little bit on their paw for them to lick off. This will get them used to the taste and consistency of the toothpaste. Once they seem to have got used to it, then start introducing the applicator swabs. The swabs are great, and very soft. Lola tends to chew on it while I am moving the swab around her mouth. The swab is easy maintenance between thorough deep cleaning using the Bamboo Charcoal Toothbrush. Slowly you can build your way up to introducing the toothbrush. The only downside to the brush is that it is a little big for cats (in my opinion). I would love to see this brush comes out in a smaller size for easier use on your cat. With that said, it does work but it is easier to use the swabs on Lola. The USP (unique selling point) of the toothbrush is that as it is made with Bamboo Charcoal it kills bacteria and germs, causing decay. The bristles are also very soft. You can also get create in the ways that you apply the toothpaste. If you have a dog try applying the toothpaste directly onto one of their favourite toy or dry food. The toothpaste works on contact to dissolve the protein pellicle on the teeth, so no brushing required. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to others especially if you have a difficult cat or dog that does not like their owners putting things in their mouths. Remember keeping your pets oral hygiene in good condition might save you the cost of expensive trips to the Vet due to poor oral hygiene and is also a way for you to spend some quality time with your fur baby.

Bought this for my 16 month old Labradoodle called Roxy. She is 31 kg and still growing - hopefully not much bigger. Roxy is normally fussy about any changes to here food, but she has has no problem with me adding this supplement to here food. As it is powder this makes it easy to add to food, much better than tablets which Roxy would refuse. Our cat did have a bad breath issue. We had previously tried a cat toothpaste that was near enough impossible to use on our cat. In comparison, this pet dentist product has been so much easier to use and our cat did not have any issues with the taste as had been drinking as much water as usual. We have noticed a difference in our cats breath and for how long the product lasts, it is definitely reasonably priced. We will continue to use and would recommend.

Our Westies teeth are looking good so far, hasn't removed all the yellowing but did not expect to so soon just stop any more appearing. The vegan formula is great for their allergies but they are not so fooled by the fake cheese flavour ! Maybe next time will select another flavour to keep them keen. Would recommend although not cheap, better than a trip to the vets ! Will definitely buy again.
