1. Day 1 to 2: let your pet lick a little Say Cheese paste from your finger.
2. Day 3 to 4: rub a small amount onto the outer front teeth with your fingertip.
3. Day 5: put a pea-sized amount on the bamboo brush and let your pet lick it off the bristles.
4. Day 6 onwards: brush the outer surfaces at a 45-degree angle to the gum line, a few teeth at a time, once a day.
5. Rinse the brush, shake it dry and stand it up or store it in the case. Replace the brush every three months.

• Supervise brushing and do not let your pet chew the toothbrush. Replace the brush if the filaments splay or the handle cracks.

Is the kit suitable for cats?

Yes. Both the toothpaste and the soft brush can be used with cats. Introduce brushing very gradually. The VOHC plaque-control credential is listed for dogs.

Why bamboo?

It is a fast-growing, biodegradable material and the handle is naturally water-resistant. The filaments are plant-based bio-nylon rather than petroleum nylon.

Do I have to brush, or can I just apply it?

The manufacturer allows direct application to the teeth with a finger. We recommend introducing a brush once your pet accepts the taste, because brushing adds the mechanical cleaning that toothpaste alone cannot.

How much do I use and how often?

A pea-sized amount once or twice a day on the outer surfaces of the teeth. Follow the directions printed on the tube.

Can my pet eat and drink afterwards?

Yes. The manufacturer's directions do not require a waiting period before food or water.

What if my pet refuses the flavour?

Email info@petdentist.co.uk within 30 days of delivery with your order number and we will refund the toothpaste, even if the tube is opened. One tube per household; see our refund policy.
