1. Put a pea-sized amount of pet toothpaste on the bristles and let your dog lick it off.
2. Lift the lip and place the bristles at a 45-degree angle to the gum line on the outer surfaces.
3. Brush in small circles, a few teeth at a time, working back to the molars. There is no need to force the mouth open.
4. Rinse the head under running water, shake dry and store upright.
5. Replace every three to four months, or sooner if the filaments splay.

Which dogs is it for?

Medium, large and giant breeds. The head is broader and the neck longer than a standard pet brush, so it covers big teeth quickly.

Can I use it on my cat or small dog?

You can, but a smaller head is usually easier for small mouths. Our bamboo toothbrush has a compact head.

Which toothpaste should I use with it?

Always a pet toothpaste, never a human one. We stock Petsmile Professional Pet Toothpaste, which is VOHC Accepted for plaque control in dogs.

How often should I brush?

Daily is the goal; several times a week still helps. Short, calm sessions beat long battles.

Will it remove hard tartar?

No toothbrush can remove hardened tartar. Brushing removes the soft plaque that turns into tartar; established tartar needs your vet.

How often should I replace it?

Every three to four months, or as soon as the bristles start to splay.
